
Shakes & Smoothies
A selection of delicious shakes & smoothies.These are perfect for breakfast, lunch or a snack. They are quick and easy to do as well as tasty and healthy. Kids and adults will love them equally.
Equipment
- Handheld blender, blender or smoothie maker
- Jug
- Chopping board
- Knife
- Large glass
- Straws Optional
Ingredients
Peanutbutter & Banana shake
- 1 Banana
- 2 tbsp Peanutbutter
- 1 tbsp Honey You can use maple syrup but only half the amount
- 3/4 Glass of milk (Almond milk works very well) Use the glass you are going to serve from
Banana & Blueberry Smoothie
- 1 Banana
- handful Blueberries You can add more if you wish
- 1 tbsp Honey You can use Maple syrup
- 2 tbsp Greek or plain yogurt Thick Greek Yogurt is better
- 3/4 glass of milk Use the glass you will serve from
Mango & Raspberry Smoothie
- 1 Mango
- Half Pack Raspberries
- 2 tbsp Greek or plain yogurt Thick greek yogurt is better.
- 3/4 Glass milk Use the glass you will serving from
Strawberry Smoothie
- 10 Good size Strawberries You can add more if you want
- 2 tbsp Greek or plain yogurt Thick Greek yogurt is better
- 3/4 Glass of milk Use the glass you will serve from
Chocolate & Banana shake
- 1 Banana
- 2 tbsp Dark Cocoa Powder
- 1 tbsp Honey You can use Maple Syrup
- 3/4 Glass milk
Instructions
Peanutbutter & Banana Shake
- Chop the banana and place in your jug or blender
- Add the Peanutter butter and honey
- Measure out your milk and pour into the jug
- If using a blender or smoothie maker, whizz all the ingredients up until blended and smooth. If using a hand blender, blitz the ingredients until blended and smooth.
- Pour into your glass, add your straws and enjoy.
Banana & Blueberries Smoothie
- Chop the banana and Blueberries and place in a jug or your blender or smoothies maker
- Add the honey, yogurt and milk
- Blend together until blended and smooth.
- Pour into your glass, add your straws and enjoy.
Mango & Raspberry Smoothie
- To prepare the Mango. Take a sharp knife and slice just off centre on both sides of the mango. You want to slice down either side of the stone. Make 4 slices length wise and 4 slices width wise, making sure you cut down to the skin but not through it. You should have a small squares. Take the mango half and bend it so the the flesh pops up and it looks like a hedgehog. Take your knife and carefully slice off the cubes into you jug or blender.
- Add your raspberries, yogurt and milk
- Blend together until blended and smooth
- Pour into your glass, add your straws and enjoy
Strawberry Smoothie
- Slice the strawberries in half and add to your blender or jug
- Add the yogurt and milk
- Blend well until smooth
- Pour into a glass add the straws and enjoy
Chocolate & Banana Shake
- Chop the banana and add to your blender or jug
- Add the Cocoa Powder, honey and milk
- Blend until smooth
- Pour into your glass, add straws and enjoy.
Notes
Try mixing your own fruits to make your own shake or smoothie. By adding yogurt it makes it thicker so making it a smoothie. If you don’t like it too sweet leave out the honey.
Try adding some Milled Flaxseed, or milled mixed seeds for some roughage.
